Minneapolis, Minnesota – Aaliyah Evans, a 3-year-old girl who was reported missing after being left outside a Target store on East Lake Street, has been found safe. The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed her recovery early Monday morning, expressing gratitude to the public for their assistance in locating her.

Aaliyah went missing around noon on Sunday when her mother allegedly left her with a homeless acquaintance while entering the Target store at 2500 East Lake Street. Authorities reported that the acquaintance, a 32-year-old bi-racial woman wearing a tie-dye blouse and light grey leggings, left with Aaliyah without the mother’s permission.

The child was described as 3-foot-5, with brown eyes and curly brown hair with blonde streaks. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

Thankfully, Aaliyah was not considered to be in immediate danger, but her mother was deeply concerned for her well-being. After extensive efforts to locate her, Aaliyah was found safe, bringing relief to her family and the community.

Authorities have urged anyone with further information about the incident or the acquaintance involved to contact the Minneapolis Police Department at 612-348-2345. No additional details have been released at this time.
