Alex Cole Bustamante, 39, Loses Life in Tragic Motorcycle Accident in El Paso, Texas

El Paso, Texas – Alex Cole Bustamante, a 39-year-old resident of Santa Teresa, New Mexico, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday night, September 22, 2024.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the 4400 block of Gateway East near Lincoln Park, when Bustamante’s motorcycle, traveling at high speed, struck the rear left corner of a vehicle that had shifted lanes to avoid collision.

Despite emergency responders arriving promptly and transporting Bustamante to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Authorities have identified speeding as a significant contributing factor to the crash, marking it as the 46th traffic-related death in El Paso this year.

This represents a decline compared to the 55 fatalities recorded at this point in 2023.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was unharmed, and no charges have been filed as of yet.

The investigation is ongoing, with speed remaining the primary cause under consideration.

Bustamante’s sudden passing has left his community and loved ones in shock.

Jessica Morones, expressing her grief on social media, wrote, “Great guy, damn breaks my heart.”

Amanda Noel Holguin added, “To know Alex was to love him but to live without him is something none of us could’ve imagined.”

Bustamante’s death is a stark reminder of the dangers associated with high-speed driving, particularly for motorcyclists who face a greater risk in collisions.

As his family and friends mourn this tragic loss, they are left to remember a beloved community member who will be deeply missed.
