Ann Maier, Cherished Member of Santa Monica Bowls Club, Passes Away Suddenly

Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Bowls Club is mourning the sudden loss of one of its beloved members, Ann Maier, who passed away on the morning of September 26, 2024.

Ann was a respected figure within the club, known for her kindness, competitive spirit, and dedication to the sport of lawn bowling.

Her unexpected passing has left the club and its members in shock and deep sorrow.

In a heartfelt post shared on social media, the club expressed their grief: "It is with the utmost sadness we share the news that our dear friend and club member, Ann Maier, passed away suddenly this morning.

We remember Ann as a wonderful friend, kind and caring person on and off the green, as well as a competitive and excellent bowler."

The post further noted that Ann will be greatly missed by many, both within the club and beyond.

Condolences have poured in from fellow members and friends, including Rome, Steve, Peter, and Gina, who have all expressed their sorrow.

Sal Candido added a heartfelt message, saying, "Truly sad to see this.

Ann is survived by her longtime partner and spouse, Sally Scholten, who was by her side both in life and at the club.
