Las Vegas, Nevada – Pete Rose, the all-time hits leader in Major League Baseball (MLB) and a prominent figure in the sport’s history, passed away on Monday at the age of 83.

Rose died at his home in Las Vegas, according to his agent, Jeff Lenkov, with further confirmation provided by TMZ.

The cause of death has not yet been made public, and Rose’s family has requested privacy during this difficult time.

Known as "Charlie Hustle," Rose had an extraordinary career spanning 24 MLB seasons, accumulating 4,256 hits, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies.

He was selected to 17 All-Star teams, played in three World Series winning teams, and earned the 1973 National League MVP award.
