Munhall, PA – Bess Kelly Shehady, a cherished member of the Munhall community, passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 57.
Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Bess was the loving partner of 40 years to Tim Cloherty, a devoted mother to Diana Shehady-Harris, and a doting grandmother to Alexia and Champ Harris.
Born and raised in Homestead, PA, she found joy in working with her family at their restaurant and rug shop, a place filled with love and warmth.
She continued her career at Shehady’s Oriental Rugs, where she dedicated much of her life as a rug specialist.
Bess’s resilience was remarkable as she battled illness throughout her life, never losing her compassionate spirit or her drive to put others before herself.
Her kindness was known to many, with countless acts of generosity that touched strangers and loved ones alike.
Family and friends will gather to pay their respects at Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, with a funeral service scheduled for Saturday, October 5, followed by her burial at Homewood Cemetery.
The community has shared an outpouring of love online, with comments expressing heartfelt sympathy.
Joyce Novak wrote, “Deepest sympathy to all her loving family. May she rest in peace,” and Sally Smiley added, “My condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.”
