Brian Bledsoe and Amanda Stokes Tragically Killed in High-Speed Motorcycle Crash on I-24 Near Paducah, Kentucky

Paducah, Kentucky – Brian Bledsoe, 40, and Amanda Stokes, 41, both residents of Benton, Kentucky, tragically lost their lives in a high-speed motorcycle crash on Interstate 24. The fatal accident occurred on Saturday, September 21, 2024, near the 6.4-mile marker on I-24.

According to the Paducah Police Department, the motorcycle carrying Bledsoe and Stokes veered off the roadway and collided with a cable barrier in the median. Authorities reported that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Paducah Police Department, assisted by several other agencies, including Paducah Fire, Mercy Ambulance, and the McCracken County Sheriff, responded to the scene shortly after 3:28 p.m. A specialized collision reconstruction team is investigating the cause of the accident.

The Benton community is mourning the loss of Bledsoe and Stokes, who were well-known and loved by many. Friends and family members have taken to social media to express their sorrow and share their condolences.

Michael Thomas posted on Facebook, “RIP uncle Brian Bledsoe I love ya man. I wish u were here. I don’t understand why bad things happen to good people.”

Nastashia Crawford expressed her grief, writing, “Rip cus u we will miss you,” while Stephanie Ainsworth shared, “Am so sorry for your loss, prayers.”

Dawn Reid Andrews, upon hearing the news, simply asked, “What happened?” and later added, “So sorry.”

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details at this time. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of high-speed driving and the importance of road safety.
