Chilhowie Resident Margaret Reasor, Cherished Mother and Grandmother, Passes Away at 95

Chilhowie, Virginia – Margaret Reasor, a beloved figure in the Chilhowie community, tragically passed away at her home on September 23, 2024, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Known affectionately as “Ma Margaret,” she was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, married for 57 years to her late husband, Dr. James Dan Reasor. Margaret was a beacon of joy and warmth, deeply cherished by her eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Her life was deeply rooted in faith and her commitment to living a life of praise. Margaret’s uplifting spirit was felt by many, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends have shared heartfelt tributes on social media. Jane Wright expressed, “Oh my precious friend, I have already missed you the last year but now I will have to wait until I go to Heaven to see you in person again.” LeTiscia Wilson added, “Sorry about your friend,” while Cindy Lowery stated, “Sorry for your loss.”

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Daniel R. “Randy” Reasor. She is survived by her three daughters: Ruth Blevins, Rachel Bise, and Rebekah Reasor, along with her extended family, who will carry on her legacy.

Funeral services will take place at 7 PM on September 25, 2024, at the First Church of God, with a graveside service following the next day. The family expresses gratitude to the healthcare workers for their exceptional care during her final days.
