Riverhead, New York – Christian Gutierrez, a 21-year-old man from East Hampton, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning, October 7, 2024.
The fatal collision, involving two motorcycles, occurred at approximately 8:21 a.m. on Old Country Road near the Target store in Riverhead.
Gutierrez was riding his 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R when he collided with a 2006 Yamaha R6 driven by 54-year-old Rodolfo Castillo from Southampton.
Authorities reported that Gutierrez succumbed to multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local law enforcement, including the Riverhead Police Department and the New York State Police’s forensic investigation team, responded promptly to investigate the incident.
There is currently no suspicion of criminal behavior related to the crash, and police are actively seeking further information from potential witnesses.
