Tennessee – Cindy Serrano, a beloved mother of three sons, tragically passed away on September 27, 2024, as she evacuated her home due to Hurricane Helene.
Her sudden death has left her family, especially her sons Marc, Jon, and Paul, grieving the loss of a mother who dedicated her life to their well-being.
Cindy, who was originally from Michigan, moved to Tennessee a few years ago, finding peace in the wide open spaces and the community she had grown to love.
Her son Marc shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, stating, "My mom was living her dream.
She was happy, like a butterfly, we had to set her free."
He went on to reflect on her influence, noting that she worked hard to provide for her family, even securing his first job at the age of 16.
Cindy was described as outgoing, loud, kind, and loving, with a smile that never faded, no matter the circumstances.
She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, sacrifices, and a deep connection with her children, who will always remember her as the "moon" to their "stars."
Funeral arrangements are still pending, and a fundraiser has been organized to assist with funeral expenses.
