Lynnfield, Massachusetts – Dan Gamache, a former standout football player and respected member of his community, passed away on September 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of athletic achievement and dedication to family.

Born and raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, Gamache’s passion for football was evident from a young age.

He became a remarkable player at Walpole High School, and his football prowess continued into his college years at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts.

Gamache, who graduated in 1995, still holds the college record for sacks, with a total of 34 throughout his career, including 14 in his senior season.

His remarkable contributions to Stonehill College’s football program earned him induction into the college’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014, an honor he cherished deeply.

After his football career, Gamache focused on his family and community, settling in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, with his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, Amber, 10, and Ava, 8.

He remained active in the community, known for his commitment to instilling values of teamwork and perseverance.
