Cordova, South Carolina – David "Wayne" Davis, a cherished member of the Cordova community, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 65.
He was the husband of Pamela "Pam" A. Davis, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Wayne was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the son of the late Dempsey Bruce Davis and the late Jimmie Lou Hutto Davis.
He graduated from Cordova High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
Later, Wayne pursued a career as a truck driver for North American Trucking.
Outside of work, Wayne had a deep passion for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, woodworking, and fishing, particularly with his son.
He is survived by his wife Pam; son, Bradley Wayne Davis of Cordova, SC; daughter, Kristi Edens of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Sheri Ott of Branchville, SC, and Connie Bruner of Maggie Valley, NC; as well as two grandchildren, Davis Upton and Tatum Edens.
A memorial service is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel.
