Oneonta, Alabama – Douglas Van Lovelady, a cherished resident of Oneonta, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 71.
Born on December 21, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama, Doug was the son of the late Buck and Topsy Lovelady.
He was also preceded in death by his brother John Harvey Lovelady and sister Lisa Gardner.
Doug was a dedicated member of Lakeview Baptist Church and a beloved figure in his community.
Friends and family are mourning the loss of a man remembered for his kindness and devotion.
