Edith Rottman, 72, of Petaluma, Passed Away Unexpectedly – Family Seeks Support for Cremation Fund

Petaluma, CA – Edith Rottman, a beloved mother and grandmother, unexpectedly passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 72. Known for her kindness, selflessness, and love for her family, Edith’s passing has left her loved ones grieving deeply.

Edith was a devoted mother to Rich and Lindsey, a loving grandmother to Avery, Caydence, Parker, and Nolan, and the cherished wife of Richard Rottman. She was known for her resilience, having survived cancer, and for spending her final years enjoying quality time with her husband, attending her grandchildren’s events, and visiting her close friend Louise.

The family is currently organizing a fundraiser to honor Edith’s final wish of being cremated. Due to the unexpected nature of her passing, there were no plans in place for cremation expenses, and the family is asking for any support to help meet the cost. Edith will be cremated at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by the Bridges family, with $875 raised of the $1,800 goal at the time of this report. Contributors like Austin Nunez, who donated $500, and others like Patty Greenlief, Daniel Mechling, and Christina Willson have helped the family through this challenging time.

Plans for a "Celebration of Life" honoring Edith are in progress, with details to be announced. Lindsey Bridges shared her appreciation on Facebook for the outpouring of support, saying, “Thank you, Sharon!” in response to Sharon Ligon’s heartfelt message: “I’m so sorry for your loss! Your family was such an important piece of my kids’ lives. RIP Edie Rottman.”

The family remains deeply grateful for the love and support they have received during this difficult time and invites anyone who wishes to offer their condolences or help to contribute to the GoFundMe campaign.
