Loch an Iúir, Ireland – Eileen Greene (née Sweeney), a cherished member of the Loch an Iúir community, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hudaí Greene, and is deeply missed by her children, Roma, Francis, Lochlán, Hugo, and John Joe, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Eileen’s remains will repose at McGlynn Funeral Home in Dungloe on Sunday, with Rosary at 8 p.m. followed by removal to her daughter Roma’s home in Loughanure.
Her funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, followed by burial in the old cemetery at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Annagry.
The family has requested privacy after Rosary until the morning of the funeral.
Heartfelt tributes have poured in, with Michael McClafferty commenting, “Condolences to all the family circle. May Eileen rest in peace,” and Brid Mc Cole remembering her fondly, “Rest in peace Eileen, I will never forget you; you were a true lady and you will be greatly missed.”
