Emily Rose Hunt, 16, Passionate Athlete and Aspiring Cosmetologist, Passes Away in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

Lawrenceburg, Tennessee – Emily Rose Hunt, a 16-year-old student from Loretto High School, tragically passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Emily, affectionately known as "Em," was a beloved member of her community, a dedicated soccer player for her high school team, and an active participant in her church, New Prospect Baptist.

Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and community members in deep mourning.

She was known for her passion for fishing and drag racing, and she had plans to pursue a career as a cosmetologist.

Emily is survived by her parents, Andy and Kim Moore Hunt, her sister Abby, and her grandmothers, Nancy Hunt and Kathy Dowdy.

The family will be holding a visitation at Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 3:00 PM.

Pallbearers include Wyatt Hooper, Chase Hooper, Cayden Ingram, Peyton Hunt, Aaron Hunt, and Hudson Ward.

Friends and family have expressed their sorrow on social media, with Regina Peery writing, "Please keep her sweet parents, Kim and Andy, in your prayers for the funeral Tuesday and the days ahead."

Rachel Nicole Thompson added, “So sorry sweet Lady! Praying for you and the family.”

Emily will be laid to rest at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
