Havelock, NC – Michael “Mikey” Iorizzo, a recent graduate of Havelock High School, tragically passed away in a car accident on the night of September 17, 2024. Mikey had recently begun his first semester at Carteret Community College, where he was studying Engine Mechanics, a passion he hoped to pursue in his future career.
Mikey was a beloved member of his community, known for his kindness and warm personality. His sudden and unexpected passing has left his family and friends devastated. To honor his memory, his family has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of his memorial service, allowing friends and loved ones to gather and pay their respects.
The fundraiser, organized by Daniel Iorizzo, also aims to help with the burial costs so that Mikey can be laid to rest near his great-grandmother, who passed away recently. The goal of the fundraiser is set at $15,000, and any donations are deeply appreciated by the family during this heartbreaking time.
