Memphis, Tennessee – James Hayward Smith, affectionately known as "Dok" or "Wood," passed away on September 20, 2024, after a courageous eight-month battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

His sudden loss has deeply affected his family and friends, leaving a significant void in the lives he touched.

Born on December 19, 1966, James was known for his larger-than-life personality and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

He was celebrated for his strong work ethic and ability to bring joy to everyone around him, often leaving them with heartfelt laughter and fond memories.

Vanessa Smith, his sister, expressed her love and sorrow on social media, stating, “He was a loud baby and an even louder man! Sleep well, Lil Bruh!”
