Peachtree City, Georgia – Jarod Neidlinger, a beloved son and brother, tragically passed away on Monday, October 3, 2024, after taking his own life following a long battle with mental illness.
His death has left the community in shock and deep sorrow.
The news of his passing was shared in a heartfelt statement by his family, which read, “It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we share with you that Jarod took his life on Monday. There will be visitation on Tuesday, October 8th from 5-7:00 PM at PTC United Methodist Church. Please pray for us. This is a devastating loss.”
Jarod, a resident of Peachtree City, had been receiving psychiatric care at Fayette-Piedmont Hospital before his tragic death.
Despite being under close observation and precautions due to concerns about his flight risk, he fled the hospital in August and went missing for several days.
His body was eventually found on August 21, 2024, after a thorough search involving family, police, and volunteers.
