He, along with his two cousins and four others, perished in a devastating car accident while on their way to work.

The vehicle was engulfed in flames, leaving no survivors.

Exima, affectionately known as "Lamann" to his family, friends, and students, was deeply involved in community development efforts.

He spearheaded initiatives in nutrition, education, and child welfare, and was a crucial figure in supporting his local community.

Lisa Brown, a close collaborator, organized a fundraiser to help repatriate Exima’s body and cover funeral expenses.

She shared on social media, “This accident has devastated his family, his friends, and the entire community of Matenwa.”

Brown also described Exima as a "gwo force," emphasizing his unique role in driving positive change in the region.
