Jeremy Long, 25-Year-Old Motorcyclist, Tragically Dies in Cherokee County Crash

Ellijay, Georgia – Jeremy Long, a 25-year-old resident of Ellijay, tragically passed away on the evening of October 3, 2024, following a motorcycle accident in Cherokee County.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Rose Creek Drive near Woodstock, where Long’s motorcycle reportedly crossed the center line, struck a curb, and collided with a tree.

He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office has identified speed as a potential contributing factor to the crash, according to Captain Jay Baker.

The community is mourning the loss of Jeremy Long, and tributes have flooded in from friends and family on social media.
