Bay City, MI – John Morris, a beloved member of the Bay City community, tragically passed away after experiencing severe medical complications following a stent placement procedure.
His passing on October 4, 2024, has left family and friends in mourning.
John was admitted to Henry Ford Hospital on September 20 for a stent placement.
Unfortunately, the procedure resulted in a serious heart attack that led to him being placed on life support.
Although there was a brief period of improvement, where John was prepared for transfer to a rehabilitation center, his condition worsened.
On October 2, John experienced breathing difficulties, requiring CPR and another round of life support.
By October 4, his renal function had deteriorated, leading to dialysis, and early that morning, his blood pressure and heart rate dropped significantly.
Despite a temporary stabilization, John began bleeding uncontrollably, leading to the family’s heartbreaking decision to cease further treatment.
In the wake of his passing, family members have expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming love and support from friends and the community.
To help cover expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established, allowing those wishing to honor John’s memory to contribute during this difficult time.
John Morris is remembered for the strength and courage he showed throughout his life, and the family continues to receive an outpouring of prayers and support.
