St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – Jonathan Nichol, a well-known and beloved drag queen performer, who graced stages under the name Reign Michaels, tragically passed away.
The news of his passing was confirmed on Sunday, September 29, 2024, as loved ones and fans mourn the loss of a vibrant and cherished figure in the local drag community.
While the exact cause of death has not been publicly confirmed, tributes have poured in from all corners of the community.
Nichol, affectionately known by his drag persona, Reign Michaels, was celebrated for his talent, dedication, and the joy he brought to those who had the privilege of watching him perform.
In support of Nichol’s family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been organized by Jennifer Stockley.
The fundraiser aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens for Nichol’s family.
