Mt. Pleasant, Michigan – Judy J. Boyd, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 18, 1941, Judy was the daughter of Julius and Marion Allbee.
She was known for her love of crocheting, playing cards, puzzles, traveling, and camping.
An avid fan of Elvis Presley, Judy also cherished the company of her dog Dolly.
She dedicated part of her life as a foster grandparent through the commission on aging and managed two Adult Foster Care (AFC) homes, positively impacting her community.
Judy is survived by her nine children, including Elaine Brewer of Farwell, Ricky Brooks of Stanton, Sheryl Kenworthy of Mt. Pleasant, Kathleen Loomis of Remus, Julius Jacobs of Mt. Pleasant, Sean Jacobs of Shepherd, Ron Boyd of Blanchard, Jennifer Boyd of Weidman, and Scott Boyd of Weidman.
She also leaves behind over 90 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands—Charles Brooks, Richard Jacobs, and Ronald Boyd—and several close family members.
A celebration of Judy’s life is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 9149 W Airline Rd., Weidman, Michigan.
The family has entrusted arrangements to Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd.
