Karen Heather Jenkins-Waboose, Beloved Community Member, Passes Away at 60 in Moose Mountain, Alberta

Moose Mountain, Alberta – Karen Heather Jenkins-Waboose, a cherished member of the community, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 60.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that has touched the lives of many in the community.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Grant Waboose, and her children, John, Jordan, and Micheal Waboose.

She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Barbara Lameman, Brenda Jenkins, Vivian Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, and Carol Jenkins, as well as her godchildren, Leshaun and Curtis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Richard Jenkins and Theresa Jenkins Whiskeyjack, along with her sisters, Rose and Sharon.

A visitation for family and friends is scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel in St. Paul, Alberta, followed by cremation.

Expressions of sympathy have poured in on social media.

Donita Large expressed her sorrow, stating, “So sad to hear this news that my cousin Karen passed. My heart goes out to her siblings and her boys.”

Many others shared similar sentiments, with Mike Chenoweth offering, “Judy and I offer our condolences to you and your family, Donita.”

Karen’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her loving nature and generous spirit.
