Greenville County, South Carolina – A tragic shooting in the early hours of Sunday, October 6, 2024, claimed the life of 21-year-old Kaylon Reid Culbertson near Bald Rock.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the victim as Kaylon Reid Culbertson, sending shockwaves through the local community.
According to reports, Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call just before 3 a.m. regarding gunfire on Geer Highway, close to Bald Rock.
Upon arrival, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, one of whom was Culbertson.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other individual was rushed to the hospital; his condition has not been publicly disclosed.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the shooting.
While a person of interest has been questioned, no arrests have been made as of now.
The local community remains deeply concerned, with law enforcement increasing patrols in the area.
