Keira Lally and Two Other Teens Missing After Running Away from Newark Behavioral Health Hospital

Newark, Delaware – A search is underway for three missing teenagers, including 15-year-old Keira Lally of Middletown, DE, who ran away from Rockford Center Behavioral Health Hospital in Newark on September 19, 2024. Keira, along with 15-year-olds Cameron Gaines of Seaford, DE, and Amerie Henry of Chestertown, MD, was last seen around 2:00 p.m. near 100 Rockford Drive.

Gold Alerts have been issued by the Delaware State Police as authorities intensify their efforts to locate the teens. Family and friends have expressed growing concern, and the local community is urged to remain alert.

Keira is described as being 5’5”, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants. Cameron Gaines is described as 5’6” and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, wearing a red shirt and gray sweatpants. Amerie Henry, who is also 5’5”, weighs about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in a pink shirt and gray sweatpants.

Keira’s father, Michael Lally, took to Facebook to plead for help. “This is Keira Joy Lally. She is my daughter. She ran away from Rockford Center Behavioral Health Hospital in Newark, DE with two other teens around 2:30 pm on 9/19/24. If you have any information about her whereabouts, please call 911,” he wrote.

Others have shared their thoughts and prayers. Cathy Swalm posted, “Praying for you all right now,” while Amber Hauser commented, “Praying she is found safely quickly!!!” Angie Baum, who works in the Newark area, stated, “Hope she is found. I am in the Newark/Bear area. I will keep an eye out for her.”

Community members are encouraged to share any information and stay vigilant. Delaware State Police Troop 6 can be reached at (302) 633-5000 with any details that could help bring the teens home safely.

The authorities remain dedicated to the search, hoping for the swift and safe return of Keira, Cameron, and Amerie.
