Los Angeles Resident Rigoberto Vargas Ruiz Passes Away at 94, Family Seeks Support for Funeral Arrangements

Los Angeles, CA – Rigoberto Vargas Ruiz, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, has passed away at the age of 94. After a long and difficult battle with pneumonia and a condition called dysphagia, which resulted from a silent stroke, Rigoberto passed away peacefully in hospice care, surrounded by his loved ones.

The family of Rigoberto Vargas Ruiz is now seeking assistance to cover the high costs of his funeral. His granddaughter, Nohemi Vargas, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds, sharing that her grandfather was "an exemplary man, a very loving husband, and an excellent father."

Nohemi posted on Facebook, asking for help: "We are asking for help to raise funds to pay for my grandfather’s funeral. Any donation is a huge help. Thank you so much for your love and support in this difficult time."

Several community members have expressed their condolences. L Smiley GR commented, "Oh no sorry girly, my condolences for all your family."

As of today, the fundraiser has raised $150 out of its $10,000 goal, with donations from supporters such as Chelsea Moran, who contributed $50, and Elsa Ornelas, who donated $100.

The family is deeply grateful for any support and hopes to honor Rigoberto’s life with a fitting tribute.
