Malcom Sanders, Dedicated Farmer and Family Man, Passes Away at 84 in Caraway, Arkansas

Caraway, Arkansas – Malcom Sanders, a beloved farmer and family man, passed away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2024, at the age of 84.

Born on May 23, 1940, in Rivervale, Arkansas, Malcom was a dedicated member of the Rivervale Baptist Church for over 40 years.

He was known for his unwavering commitment to farming, spending countless hours tending to his crops and nurturing the land he loved.

Aside from his passion for farming, Malcom cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed taking cruises whenever he had the opportunity.

He is survived by his four children, Frank Bates of Paragould, Arkansas, Suzanne Wallace of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, David Bates of the home, and Mike Sanders of Manila, Arkansas.

Malcom also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, his brother J.R. Sanders, and two sisters, Irene Bashears and Mona Sanders.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Veila Sanders, his wives Mary Ann Sanders and Betty Sanders, his brother Danny Sanders, and his sister Glenda Waters.

Friends and family have expressed their condolences and prayers on social media.

Joey Jewell shared, “Sorry,” while Angela King Morgan posted, “So sorry to hear this news! Prayers for the family.”

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Caraway First Baptist Church, with Bro. Steven Sanders officiating.

Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.

Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

Malcom Sanders will be remembered for his dedication to his faith, his family, and his land.
