Boone, Iowa – Mary J. Poling, a cherished member of the Boone community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the age of 84.
She spent her final moments at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Mary will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her years.
A visitation will be held in her honor from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone.
Mary’s passing has prompted an outpouring of sympathy from the community.
Connie Kokemiller expressed her sorrow, stating, “I am so very sorry to hear this. Mary was a sweet friend of mine over the years! You have my sympathy!”
Sharon Mallicoat shared, “Oh so sad for everyone who knew her and her family! She was so special! You can see that smile was Mary!!! Hugs!!!”
