Mary Luthes Falome Passes Away Nine Days After Giving Birth; Community Rallies to Support Her Family

Mary Luthes Falome, a beloved member of the University of Perpetual Help System – Dalta Calamba community, has tragically passed away just nine days after welcoming her daughter into the world. The heartbreaking news has left her family, friends, and former colleagues in deep sorrow.

Mary, who moved to Northern Ireland with her family two years ago in hopes of a better future, leaves behind her partner and two young children. Her sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew her, particularly her mother, who was a clinical instructor to many during nursing school, and her only sister.

In this time of immense grief, Mary’s friends and colleagues have come together to support her family through a fundraising campaign organized by Gabriela Cayaban. The fundraiser aims to help with funeral expenses and provide for the future needs of her children, including their education and healthcare.

As of today, the campaign has raised £110 from four donations, with contributors like Monica Valderrama, Ralph Joseph Contreras, and two anonymous donors expressing their support.

On social media, many shared their condolences and memories of Mary. Manilyn Cena wrote, “We are deeply saddened to share that our dear schoolmate, a colleague, and a friend from University of Perpetual Help System – Dalta Calamba, Mary Luthes Falome, daughter of our clinical instructor Ma’am Falome, has passed away. In this difficult time, we are raising funds to support her family with funeral expenses and any additional financial needs.”

Vi Soriano Balisacan simply expressed, “Rest in peace, Luthes.”

Mary’s partner shared that her last wish was to remain in the UK, where she hoped to build a life for her family. He now faces the daunting task of raising their children alone while trying to honor her final wish.

The community is urged to continue supporting the family during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on Mary’s family as they navigate this painful period and work to secure a future for her beloved children.
