Tallahassee, Florida – Mary Virginia Mullis, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving family.
Her passing marks the end of a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Born on January 24, 1952, in Hialeah, Florida, to Harry Lee Genovar and Hazel America Pope Genovar, Ginny shared 54 years of marriage with her husband, Danny Miles Mullis.
The couple raised two children, Adam and Beth, and were blessed with several grandchildren who were the light of Ginny’s life.
Ginny Mullis worked for many years as the manager of the Accounting Department at Southeastern Minerals, Inc., and was known for her love of sewing, shopping, and spending time at the beach.
Her family shared fond memories of her picking up grandchildren from school and enjoying time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Mullis, her children Adam Mullis (Deidra) and Beth Williams (Jeff), and grandchildren Conner Mullis, Holt Mullis, Jackson Crew, Ellie Williams, and Gage Williams.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home, with Reverend Joe Poitevint officiating.
Ginny will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family.
