Bandera, Texas – Mattie Elizabeth Butts Batto, a beloved community member and Class of 1959 graduate, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 25, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Bandera, Texas, she was known for her dedication and service in the local business sector.

Batto retired from Bandera Bank after an impressive 35-year career, where she held the position of Cashier and Vice-President.

Her passing has left many in the community mourning the loss of a cherished figure.

Funeral services are currently pending, and final arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
