Santee, California – The family of Laila Sears has announced a memorial service to honor her life following her tragic passing. Laila, described by her loved ones as a beacon of strength, intelligence, and warmth, passed away several days ago, leaving a profound void in the lives of those who knew her.
Her son, Jacks Sears, shared on Facebook that the memorial will be held this Saturday, September 21, at 3 pm at the LDS Church located at 10052 N Magnolia Ave in Santee. He invited everyone who knew Laila, noting her punctual nature, saying, "If you know my mom, you know she likes being early."
In addition to the memorial announcement, Jacquelynn Sears has organized a fundraiser, titled "Easing the Burden: Support for Laila Sears’s Family," to help cover the unexpected expenses following her mother’s passing. As of today, $625 has been raised toward the $4,000 goal, with donations from Regina Morris ($100), an anonymous donor ($500), and Avana Shanahe ($25).
In the fundraiser post, Jacquelynn expressed the family’s deep grief, sharing that Laila had not been heard from for several days before they discovered her passing. Jacquelynn noted the heavy burden the family now faces in managing her affairs and thanked supporters for their compassion and generosity during this difficult time.
