Nipomo, California – Monica A Uc Canché, a beloved great-grandmother, passed away recently, leaving her family and community in mourning.
Her passing marks the fulfillment of a long-held wish to be laid to rest alongside her husband, Florian Canché, and her mother.
Florian’s ashes had been with the family since his passing 16 years ago, and Monica’s wish was for them to be buried together after her own passing.
The Canché family has started a fundraiser to cover the costs associated with two headstones and other burial expenses, as the fees have added up quickly.
Jocelynn Canche, who is organizing the fundraiser, expressed gratitude for the support from family, friends, and the community during this difficult time.
"We appreciate any donations," she shared in her GoFundMe appeal.
Donations have already begun pouring in, with contributors such as Wendy Perez-Martinez donating $100 and several others, including Arely Jacobo, Andrea Canche, and Natalie Enriquez-Canche, contributing to the cause.
