Muscatine County, IA – Nancy L. Gweh, 58, tragically passed away following a car accident near Wilton, Iowa, on September 22, 2024, which also left three others injured.
The Iowa State Patrol reported that the collision involved a 2012 Nissan Juke driven by 18-year-old Carli O. Kleppe and a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Gweh.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. when Kleppe’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Gweh’s car.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
Gweh was flown to the University of Iowa via AirCare but was pronounced dead shortly after.
Carli Kleppe also sustained significant injuries and was transported to the same hospital by air.
The other passengers, Rebecca M. Yormie, 61, and Samuel W. Mahyee, 75, were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.
This tragic incident has left the local community in mourning.
