California – Nicholas Johnson, a 36-year-old resident of Menifee, tragically passed away following a devastating traffic accident on SR-154 near Buellton.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2024.
Johnson was driving a 2015 Hyundai westbound on SR-154 when the car veered off the road, struck a gravel slope, and collided with a tree.
The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to burst into flames, leaving no opportunity for intervention by the emergency responders who arrived shortly after.
Nicholas Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities from Santa Barbara County and the California Highway Patrol are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
