Hawarden, Iowa – Paul Dennis “Denny” Robertson, a cherished member of the rural Hawarden community, passed away at the age of 84 on September 29, 2024, at his residence in Union County, South Dakota.
His death has left a profound void among friends and family who remember him as a remarkable man dedicated to those around him.
Paul was known for his kindness and strong sense of community, which resonated deeply with those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawarden, with Father Mauro Sanchez officiating.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the same church, concluding with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
Social media has been flooded with condolences, with Katie Anderson stating, “What a good man, praying for those closest to him.”
Rod Yoerger added, “A great man!!! Prayers to the family… he was loved by all that had the privilege to know him!”
