Arcadia, New York – Paul Gotwall, a 72-year-old resident of Arcadia, was hospitalized following a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2024.
The accident occurred while Gotwall was traveling north on Arcadia Zurich Norris Road, when he was found in a ditch beneath his motorbike by a bystander who quickly alerted emergency services.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies, along with the Fairville Fire Department, arrived at the scene at approximately 3:25 p.m. to assist.
Gotwall was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital by Newark Ambulance, where his injuries, though serious, were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident and examining the surrounding conditions.
