Randy Henline of New Franklin, Ohio, Passes Away at 58 After Battle with Lung Cancer

New Franklin, Ohio – Randy Henline tragically passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 58, after a battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Diagnosed in April 2023, Henline experienced significant ups and downs over the past year, ultimately spending his final days in hospice care. His passing was confirmed by his wife, April Edgell-Henline, who shared the news on Facebook.

April Edgell-Henline wrote in her post, "I lost my blue eyes, the love of my life this morning at 11:45 am." She also launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses, explaining the financial strain her family is facing. As of today, $475 has been raised out of a $10,000 goal.

Henline’s wife shared further details, recounting the challenges their family faced over the past weeks. Henline’s condition worsened in recent weeks, and he was placed on home hospice care. On the morning of September 18, he passed away after experiencing complications at home. In addition to dealing with Henline’s illness, the family is also coping with their daughter being hospitalized due to a brain bleed.

Several friends and loved ones have expressed their condolences and offered prayers for the family during this difficult time. Deana Herron Vrabel shared, “April, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.” Doris Efaw added, “Praying for you and your family. Love you guys.”

Other heartfelt messages included Tai Williams, who posted, “I’m so sorry, my prayers are with you,” and Melissa Tackett, who sent “prayers and hugs.” Cindy Griffiths also expressed her sorrow, writing, “Prayers for you and your family – so sorry for the loss of your love.”

The outpouring of support continues as friends, like Becky Bragg, stated, “I’m so very sorry for your loss,” while Lori Phillips shared, “Shared with prayers…I’m here for you.” Stephanie Catalano-Wilkerson and Fran Rhodes echoed similar sentiments, offering prayers and condolences to the family.

The GoFundMe campaign, organized by April Edgell-Henline, is accepting donations to help cover funeral costs and related expenses. Four donations have been made so far, with Kimberly Jarvie contributing $250, Paige Henline $100, and Melinda Henline also donating $100. The family continues to ask for support during this challenging time.

Henline is remembered for his bravery throughout his illness and the love he shared with his family. The community is rallying behind the family, hoping to ease the burden during their time of mourning.
