Randy L. Henke, Retired Lt Col, Passes Away on 17 September 2024, Leaving a Legacy of Leadership and Service

Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma – Randy L. Henke, a retired Lieutenant Colonel, passed away on September 17, 2024, leaving behind a distinguished military career and a legacy of dedication to his country and colleagues.

Lt Col Henke’s passing has touched many who worked with him during his years in service, with friends and former colleagues expressing their condolences and admiration for the man he was.

Rex Marshall shared on social media, “Randy L. Henke, retired Lt Col, passed away on 17 September 2024! A great friend, he will be missed!!”

Lt Col Henke served with distinction as a weapons officer in the 966th, where he earned the trust and respect of both instructors and students.

John A. Anderson reflected, “One of the younger weapons officers when I was in the 966th. Trusted and well regarded by instructors and students alike.”

Other tributes poured in, highlighting his leadership, dedication, and the challenges he faced during his service.

John Howell remembered, “Randy was a very fine officer… Always steady. Rest in peace, Randy.”

Lt Col Randy L. Henke’s service and leadership have left an enduring mark on those who had the honor of knowing him, and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and military community.
