Remembering Stephan Hugo – A Life Celebrated by Family and Friends Following His Passing in Wales

Wales – Stephan Hugo, a cherished figure in his community, tragically passed away on September 15, 2024. He is remembered fondly by many for his warmth and compassion, having dedicated numerous years to working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

In honor of his memory, a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by his wife, Marni Hugo, aimed at raising funds for the ICU Garden Project. This initiative seeks to create an outdoor space for families to gather during challenging times, reflecting Stephan’s love for flowers and nature.

Stephan’s colleagues and friends have shared heartfelt tributes on social media. Ann Claire Jones reminisced, “Remembering our times together in ITU and lately in ophthalmology—Stephan is greatly missed and often spoken about—always with a smile.”

Delyth Hamilton Williams urged others to support the fundraiser, stating, “If you can, please donate to this worthy cause. Stephan meant so much to so many.” Similarly, Angela Evans expressed her sorrow, saying, “So so sad, lovely man… has a lovely family… sadly missed.”

Tributes continue to pour in as people reflect on their experiences with Stephan. Julie Burnage remarked, “I had no idea Stephan was no longer with us. We had the best of times working in YGC in the late 80s, early 90s.”

The GoFundMe campaign has already raised £50 of its £1,000 goal, with donations coming from those who wish to honor Stephan’s legacy.

Stephan Hugo leaves behind a loving family, and his memory will undoubtedly continue to inspire kindness and compassion within the community he touched so deeply.
