Rex had spent the final months of his life under the dedicated care of NSW Health professionals in Dubbo, Wellington, Dunedoo, and Coonamble High Care facilities.

His son, Trent Nathan Chapman, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing gratitude for the care his father received and reflecting on his father’s legacy.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my father, Rex Chapman Snr. Rex passed away peacefully yesterday at Coonamble Hospital… We’ll miss your stories and your antics around the camp fire. Fly with the angels, Dad, till we meet again,” Trent wrote.
