Ricky Howard, Beloved Athlete and Carson High School Alumnus, Passes Away Following Heart Attack

Carson City, Nevada – Ricky Howard, a respected athlete and cherished member of the Carson High School Class of 1974, passed away last weekend following a heart attack.

The news of his sudden passing has left friends, family, and classmates mourning his loss.

Ricky Howard, known for his competitive spirit in both basketball and track, was remembered fondly by many.

Classmates recall his athletic talent, with one mentioning, "He was an amazing, competitive athlete in basketball and track. We loved watching him play."

Howard was described as a "sweet, kind soul" who was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, who now face life without the man who brought so much joy to their lives.

Social media tributes poured in following the announcement of his death.

Paul Jeppson, who played basketball with Ricky, expressed, "Sorry to hear, played basketball with him and was a great guy."

Another tribute from Dan Kato read, "RIP Ricky. Wish he played football. Would have been a great running back or defensive back."

The Carson High School community, as well as Ricky’s family and friends, will deeply miss him.
