Newberry County, South Carolina – A tragic accident has claimed the lives of Robert Wise, 49, and his wife, Valencia Jones Wise, 48, both residents of Chapin, South Carolina.
The fatal incident occurred on Friday morning, September 27, 2024, when their vehicle veered off Chapman Road in the Little Mountain area, colliding with a tree.
The crash was reported around 9:30 a.m., and despite the swift response of emergency personnel, both Robert and Valencia were pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of their injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Newberry County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
Investigators are working to determine whether road conditions, weather, or other factors may have played a role in the tragic accident.
Robert and Valencia were deeply cherished members of the Chapin community, known for their warmth and commitment to family and friends.
