Robert Leeper, Local Selma Resident, Tragically Dies in Hit-and-Run Incident

Selma, California – Robert Leeper, a beloved member of the Selma community, tragically passed away on September 20, 2024, following a devastating hit-and-run accident.

The incident occurred around 8:14 p.m. at the intersection of Floral Avenue and Wright Street, where Leeper was struck by a vehicle.

Despite immediate medical assistance, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

Authorities quickly arrested the driver, Roberto Ramos, a 39-year-old employee of the city’s Public Works Department, who was allegedly under the influence at the time of the accident.

The Selma Police Department is continuing its investigation, with the community expressing profound sadness over Leeper’s untimely death.
