Ronald George Burroughs, 85, of Tipton, Passes Away Peacefully Under Hospice Care

Ronald George Burroughs, 85, of Tipton, Iowa, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, under the compassionate care of St. Luke’s Hospice in Cedar Rapids. Known affectionately as Ron, he was a beloved member of the Tipton community, remembered fondly by many for his friendly demeanor and community involvement.

A visitation service for Ron will be held on Monday, September 29, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the same location. A luncheon in Ron’s honor will be held after the service at Fry Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to share memories and celebrate his life.

Ron’s passing has left a void in the community, and tributes have been pouring in. “Rest easy Ron. I enjoyed our chats at the restaurant. Thoughts to your family,” wrote Cyndee Smith Lehman, expressing her condolences on social media. Another community member, Bryan Tina Witmer Keil, shared, “So sorry for the family!! Loved seeing him around town!”

The family has requested that memorials be directed to St. Luke’s Hospice in lieu of flowers, in appreciation for the care and support they provided to Ron during his final days.

Ronald George Burroughs will be remembered as a kind soul who made a positive impact on those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
