Seattle Resident Destiny Gugsa Tragically Passes Away at 20, Fundraiser Organized for Support

Seattle, Washington – Destiny Gugsa, a 20-year-old student at the University of Washington, tragically passed away on September 15th, 2024. Destiny, a communications major, was described by those who knew her as a loving and gentle soul with unmatched loyalty to her loved ones. Born on January 23rd, 2004, in Seattle, she is remembered for her creativity and passion for the arts.

Destiny’s passing has deeply affected her family and friends. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized by Shewit Alemayehu to help the family navigate through this devastating loss. The funds raised will go towards housing relocation, funeral expenses, and family support during this difficult time. The goal is to reach $40,000 to alleviate the financial burden.

Many have shared their condolences and memories of Destiny on social media. Abeba Gugsa expressed, “I love you my sweet girl. I will forever cherish the memories we shared together.”
