Jackson, MS – Shaneta Jones, affectionately known as "Neta," has passed away at the age of 47 following a series of severe health complications.
Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, she had been residing in Texas for the past six to seven years.
Neta faced a multitude of health issues, including high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar levels, and a blockage in her chest.
Her condition deteriorated further due to thick blood and a tear on her heart.
Despite being hospitalized for two weeks and spending a week in the ICU, she succumbed to her ailments less than two weeks later.
Family and friends are now coming together to honor her memory and bring her back to her hometown for a loving farewell.
A fundraiser has been organized by Shanika Vaughn to support these efforts, as they strive to provide Neta with a proper burial surrounded by her loved ones.
“Anything will help,” Shanika wrote in the fundraiser description.
“I would like to thank everyone in advance.”
Neta’s passing has left a profound impact on those who knew her.
