Gorham, Maine – Sythou El, a cherished mother and member of the community, passed away on the morning of October 2, 2024, after battling multiple health issues in recent years.
Her family confirmed that she had suffered from a heart attack several years ago, and more recently, she had been diagnosed with various diseases, including cancer.
In the past few weeks, Sythou El was hospitalized and unresponsive due to brain bleeding, with doctors recommending surgery that would not have saved her life.
Her family ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully.
Friends and loved ones expressed their sorrow and condolences through social media.
Kay Sao Ramos posted, “We are so heartbroken… Please help in any way you can. Thank you!” while Claudette Enslen Metcalf shared, “I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Thinking of you and your family.”
The family is seeking donations to support her funeral expenses, with the cost estimated at $9,000.
In an emotional plea, her daughter Sreyneang Sao stated, “We are reaching out to you with broken hearts, asking for your support during this incredibly challenging time for our family.”
