Timothy Frederick Humphrey-Fox, Beloved Counselor and Family Man, Passes Away at St. Peter’s Hospital

Albany, New York – Timothy Frederick Humphrey-Fox, a cherished figure in the communities of Corinth, Amsterdam, and Albany, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.

He was 61 years old.

Born on January 12, 1963, in Queens, New York, Timothy was the only child of Frank and Jeanne Fox.

His early life was spent in Queens until his family moved to New Fairfield, Connecticut, where he grew up after his mother remarried.

Timothy’s educational journey led him to New Fairfield High School, the University of Connecticut, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and SUNY Oneonta.

He was deeply committed to helping others, working as an alcohol and substance abuse counselor at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam and later at New Horizons Christian Counseling Center in Scotia.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judith Humphrey-Fox, and their two sons, Joshua Fox and Adam Fox.

He was a proud father and welcomed Adam’s wife, Katie, into the family with joy.

His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, both personally and professionally.

A service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Amsterdam Methodist Church, followed by a committal service at Corinth Rural Cemetery.

Friends and family expressed their grief and shared memories of Timothy on social media.

Adam Fox wrote, “Gone but never forgotten, Timothy Fredrick Humphrey-Fox, aka fat daddy.

I love you dad.”

Family and friends are invited to Rocco’s Pizzeria for a reception following the committal.

Memorial donations can be made in his name to the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department or the Amsterdam Methodist Church Trustees.
